Mission Statement: The mission of the Brazos Valley Adult Protective Services Volunteer Board, Inc. is to provide resources, advocacy and leadership on behalf of the abused, neglected, or financially exploited elders and adults over the age of 18 with disabilities in Texas in conjunction with Adult Protective Services.  Also, to develop, enhance and advance the public’s awareness and understanding of abuse, neglect and exploitation as it relates to adults 65 and older and persons 18 years of age and older with a disability through increased community involvement, awareness, recognition and advocacy.

Who is a mandatory reporter? Anyone who has a reasonable cause to believe a child, or
person 65 years or older, or an adult with disabilities is being abused, neglected, or
exploited must report it to DFPS according to Texas laws.
