Levels of Care
At Home Away from Home TX LLC, it is our goal for our residents to age in place. What this means is that when we accept a resident we plan that this will be their home … the home in which they live until they die.
When we accept a resident we plan that this will be their home … the home they live in until they die. Because of the smaller staff ratios, we can provide for increased levels of care without the need to add on additional fees.
However, there are a couple of things that can affect the situation. Our caregivers are not allowed to provide medical support. If the resident requires medical care while with us, that medical care will have to be provided by a medical home health agency (such as Traditions) at additional cost. And if in those final stages of a resident’s life, hospice is needed, we have and will work closely with the hospice service you decide to use to make that final time as stress free as possible.
But if a resident requires medical care that cannot be given by a medical home health agency in the home, a move to a nursing facility would become necessary. If Home Away From Home TX LLC is no longer the best option for our resident, we will work together with you to find the most appropriate place to be cared for; and work to make that transition as smooth and as stressless as possible.
